WORSHIP IN THE SANCTUARY- Please Read the following and register below
Family of Christ Lutheran Church is committed to living the Gospel through faith, love, and compassion and our church has never been closed, because Family of Christ is not a building. As a people of God, we are all Family of Christ! Ministry is happening in creative ways and we will continue to meet online for worship even after we resume on-campus ministry. On November 15th at 9:30am we anticipate adding worship in the sanctuary.

As we plan for our return to worship in the sanctuary, we want to be sure you know what to expect. Things will be a bit different, and we thank you in advance for following all safety precautions. For those who don’t yet feel comfortable returning to campus, please know that we support your decision to stay home. We encourage everyone to make the choice that is safest for you and your household. Our online worship services will continue, and we invite you to join us there.

ONLINE WORSHIP: Online worship services will continue on Sundays at 9:45 am. Watch live or at your convenience throughout the week. Join us at www.familyofchrist.com.

SYMPTOM CHECK: Thank you for self-checking for any of the following symptoms before entering the building: Fever, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, muscle pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, chills, cough, runny nose, sinus congestion, sore throat, headache, fatigue. If you feel any of these, please do not attend worship services. If you are awaiting test results or have come in contact with someone who has COVID-19 in the last 14 days, we also ask that you please do not attend worship services.

RSVP: Reservations are required for each worship service to ensure we do not exceed our 80-person limit of attendees and to best prepare for you. RSVP each week either online by clicking below or by calling the church office at 952-435-5757. Reservations will open Monday morning for the following Sunday.

MASKS:  Correct wearing of masks that covers both the nose and mouth are required at all times in the building for everyone age 6 and older. Masks are also encouraged for children ages 2-5. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you. If you won’t or can’t wear a mask, we ask you to join us for online worship.

HAND WASHING AND DISENFECTANT: For your convenience, hand sanitizer dispensers are set up throughout the building. We ask that you sanitize or wash your hands in the bathrooms by the sanctuary upon entering the building

PHYSICAL DISTANCING: Physical distancing of at least 6 feet must be maintained between household groups at all times. No handshaking, hugs, etc. Use peace signs, waves, and smile with your eyes! Please respect one another’s health and safety.

SEATING: In the Sanctuary, chairs will be spaced out in small groupings. Ushers will seat you in groups of chairs according to your household size. Please keep your belongings with you at all times. Please remain seated with your mask on to reduce exposure. Ushers will dismiss each row to ensure distancing as you leave.

WORSHIP: The worship leaders will stay on the altar area and the musicians will play 15 feet from the closest seat. We will not have congregational singing or response at this time. We ask that you pick up your communion elements from the table in the church entrance as you enter. Please exit the building promptly after worship.

FELLOWSHIP: No coffee or treats will be provided. We also ask that you bring no outside food or beverages into the sanctuary at this time.

CLEANING:  We are working hard at cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing the building regularly. High-touch surfaces such as chairs and doors will be thoroughly cleaned before and after the service.

GIVING: Online giving is our safest and most convenient way to give. You may also mail your offering to the church office at 10970 185th Street, Lakeville, MN 55044. Finally, we will not be passing offering baskets, but your offering and noisy offering can be dropped in the offering plate in the back of the Sanctuary as you exit after the service.

  • Please note that if the 14-day case rate case rate exceeds more than 50 cases per 10,000 people we will suspend in-person worship.
