In the last few
years, Family of Christ has provided volunteer crews for the
Habitat for Humanity organization. With each year, the excitement
and enthusiasm for this worthwhile project "builds". Our our first
Habitat experience was at a
Burnsville site for 2 days in the summer of 2003.
In 2004, we formed a partnership with Easter Lutheran Church in Eagan and joined crews to put the finishing touches on
a row of homes in the Midway area of St. Paul. That was special because we were the final H4H crew on the site and
experienced the joy of meeting the new homeowners as they took possesion of their homes.
Most recently, (because of a shortage of homes under construction at the time), we manned
the H4H prefabrication factory where the building componants are put together.

Our congregation has been expanding a commitment to the Uringa diocese in Tanzania.
The summer of 2004 saw 7 missionaries from Family of Christ travel to our sister congregations to share the faith,
spread God's news to the eager congregations there and to bring offerings of our new relationship. In 2006, the trip involved
16 parishioners. We hope to return often to spread the good news. In addition to the semi-annual trips overseas, church members
are faithfully stepping up to sponsor a number of Tanzanian teens (and young adults) for their secondary education.
Use the link below to see a slideshow of one of the trips there (from the summer of 2004).
