Lector Duties

  Please read through the lesson prior to worship (you should have received it by e-mail or regular mail) and check out unknown pronunciations with the pronunciation key (located in the instruction binder on or behind the hymnal cart) or with the Pastor before worship.

• Arrive at worship 5-10 minutes early and check in with the ushers.
• Please come forward during the “Preview of Lessons”. You can sit in one of the very front rows to wait until it’s time for the reading.
• Begin the reading with “The reading is from ________(name of book), the _______(number…eg: 12^th, 9^th, etc) chapter.” After the lesson(s) is/are finished, simply say, “Here ends the lesson(s).”
