Service Opportunities

Mask Makers

We are in need of masks for people in our community and in the world around us. Members of Family of Christ still need some, and The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities are looking for 100 masks for workers as they continue to provide meals for at risk families. Please let us know if you can help. Drop off masks or church or contact us if you want us to pick them up.

Action Team

We are looking for a group of people who would be willing to do a variety of activities for our community. This could be delivering things to various members, helping do general maintenance at people’s houses, or helping in other ways. Please let us know if you would like to be a part of this group of helpers.

Mobile Technology Team

As we continue this time of producing and streaming worship and other activities we are looking for a few more people to help us put together parts of worship, film, and do audio for various elements. No experience necessary, we will figure this out together, we just need a couple others to spread out the tasks.

Life Transition Group

As we are still in a time of physical distancing many life transitions are being celebrated in unique ways. We would like to help people celebrate graduations and other milestones as a community. Please let us know if you want to be part of the planning and formation of these opportunities.

Noisy Offering

The change and dollars are hard to gather when we are separate, but we still want to support our mission partners. We invite you to financially support our monthly partner by making an additional donation on our website. Go to our main page and click “Online Giving” This month we will be collecting donations for the Lakeville Food Shelf through 360 communities.

Financial donations can be made by going to the website or sent to the church office. They are looking for “Grab-and-go” kids snacks like granola bars, crackers, and dried fruit. A bin will be available outside the church’s front door.

Community Garden

Looking for a different way to serve this Summer? Family of Christ is offering free community garden plots to those who are willing to donate 50% of their produce to the local food shelf. If not the cost is just $25. Contact the office for a plot.
